Rajul Mehta was born in Bombay, India in 1970 to a Jain family. Mehta graduated from Bombay University (with a major in economics), but has always led an artistic way of life. She is married to an Indian businessman living in Israel.
In Israel, she studied art and was graduated from the Beit Berl Art College. Mehta is also the mother of two beautiful children. Her works show the influence of life in India. Motifs and elements such as henna, pigments, and mirrors are often used in her work.
In some paintings, traditional Indian spices have been used as pigments. Metha´s work also reflects the influence of Israel and Jewish art, which are also strongly felt in her work. The "Jerusalem Post" called it "Fusion Art". There is a fusion between the East and the West with lots of different textures and optical illusions. Her newest techniques use screen painting with oils to create paintings that are futuristic in feeling.
